promoting Healthy lives for vulnerable children.
At ACHIPA – Africa, we recognize that good health is essential for a child’s growth, learning, and future success. Our Health Program is designed to support vulnerable children who face serious health challenges that often limit their ability to attend school and live полноцен lives.
Our Health Program focuses on improving access to basic healthcare, nutrition, and psychosocial support for children and families in underserved communities.
We work closely with children who are:
- Affected and infected by HIV/AIDS
- Living with sickle cell disease
- Experiencing malnutrition and hunger
- Lacking access to basic healthcare services
Our Approach
We provide a holistic and community-based approach to child health:
Medical Support; We facilitate access to treatment, medication, and health services through referrals and partnerships with local health facilities.
Nutrition Support; Through our school feeding program, we ensure children receive regular, nutritious meals that improve their health and support their development.
Support for Chronic Illness; We provide ongoing support to children living with HIV/AIDS and sickle cell disease, helping them adhere to treatment and remain in school.
Hygiene & Sanitation; We promote cleanliness, hygiene practices, and sanitation awareness in schools and communities to prevent disease.
Psychosocial Support: We offer counseling and emotional support to children dealing with illness, trauma, and difficult living conditions.
Our Impact
Through this program, ACHIPA has:
- Improved the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children
- Increased school attendance among children with chronic illness
- Reduced the effects of malnutrition and preventable diseases
- Strengthened families’ ability to care for their children
Why It Matters
Many children in our communities miss school or drop out entirely due to poor health and lack of medical support. Without intervention, treatable conditions become life-threatening, and children lose their chance at education and a better future.
Our Health Program ensures that no child is left behind because of illness or poverty.
